Following instructions to review an extensive building project – an insurance claim (a burst pipe) whereby works in excess of £120,000 were required to place the property back in to a habitable standard, GM immediately reported to us with options and recommendations. They were instructed to complete the works and were set an ambitious timeframe. The works were completed before the deadline and the property was eventually sold above market value due in part to the careful planning and quality of works through the contractor instructed by GM. The contractor made a commitment to stay onsite whilst works were being undertaken to ensure the asset was secure at all times given the remote location. They also ensured that building control were involved at each stage from the local authority to ensure that the appropriate sign offs were handled properly and promptly for any issues to be resolved at the early stages.
